Why Recto and Verso?
In publishing terms, recto refers to the right or front side of a printed page, while verso refers to the left or back side.
The terms originate from Latin: rēctō foliō and versō foliō, meaning “on the right side of the leaf” and “on the back side of the leaf,” respectively.
Ironically, a book is never complete without both recto and verso!
